The Psychology of Swinging
Complications of swinging: one problem that many couples have with swinging is that one of their partners want to play with others, but they uncomfortable with their partner playing with anyone else. A lot of couples have bad experiences with swinging because they’re too jealous to let their partner have fun too. So, if you are uncomfortable with this, but you want to become involved in swinging, what do you do? You need to tell your partner and be open with them. Tell them why it makes you uncomfortable. Maybe your partner might not like swinger sex, but will have no problem watching you dabble. You will never know until you talk to them about it.
Being fair and finding balance: jealousy and insecurity is normal when it comes to swingers. It’s important to keep fairness in mind, because unfair swinging has led to the destruction of many solid relationships. You need to learn how to work through your jealousy and insecurity and make sure that both you and your partner are both okay with swinging. If you can’t work though it, then don;t even go there. Don’t swing. Swinging isn’t for everybody. If you find that you wont be able to watch your partner play, then you need to give up on the idea of playing yourself.
Most importantly: talk to your partner before you start swinging. Come to an agreement about what is okay and what isn’t okay. Don’t think you have to go all in if you’re just starting to swing either. Maybe you just would prefer watching the first couple of times. Or maybe you just want to keep it soft. There are different flavors of swingers for everyone, and if vanilla is what you’re into, then that’s what you can and should order. Remember that you can always change your mind. If you want to start out by simply watching, then do that. If you are comfortable with only oral sex, than stick with that. One thing to keep in mind, it’s harder to go back, once you’re already forward.
